Hi friends, happy Monday! Hope you all survived daylight savings time! Today, I’m sharing two French country bathroom designs! I’m curious which one you’ll like better!
While I intended these to have a French country feel, I think they can work with other decor styles too! The first one has a traditional element with wallpaper and sconces and the second has a coastal element with white vertical shiplap.

Option 1: Wallpaper
This look was inspired by some amazing wallpaper from Arhaus! I love the colors with the overall color palette that I am using for this design board. As I’ve said before and will say over and over, I always start with my color palette! Here is what I used for this design:
- Fallow + Ball: Wimborne White
- Sherwin Wiliams: Repose Gray
- Benjamin Moore: Simply White
- Benjamin Moore: Gray Owl
- Benjamin Moore: Pale Oak
- Benjamin Moore: Gray Wisp
For this look, I incorporated gray touches with the vanity and floating shelf, brushed nickel hardware, and woven/rattan accessories.
Option 2: Shiplap
For option 2, I incorporated vertical shiplap on one wall (vs wallpaper in the entire room above!). For the inspiration room for this mood board, the toilet and vanity are on the same wall, so that is the wall I chose for the shiplap. The other big accent in this room is a blue/gray tile floor. The color palette is very similar to option 1 but also includes:
- Benjamin Moore: Nimbus Gray
I used another gray wood toned vanity, but incorporated chrome hardware for this design. Often, chrome is more budget-friendly than brushed nickel and easy to work with (personally, I think either would work just fine in this design!)! For a fun touch, I also suggested changing out the vanity pulls with acrylic ones.
