Happy Friday! Two posts in a row, who am I?! For today’s edition of #furnishingfriday, I wanted to share three bedroom designs I recently put together featuring canopy beds!
Canopy beds are somewhat of a unicorn to me, especially in a king size. There just aren’t a ton of options that are relatively budget friendly (they can get expensive really fast!). I’ve rounded up some of my favorite options at various price points below. Keep on scrolling to see how I used three of these canopy beds in a full master bedroom design!

Design 1: Wood, Metal, and Modern
I put these design boards together for a client who is living in a temporary home while building but still wanted the space to feel finished and like “home.” We obviously weren’t going to change the walls or add any design elements so this design package was strictly about the furnishings and decor!
The walls were similar to SW Accessible Beige – a very popular neutral wall color!
My first design is a mash up of a bunch of design styles and they all work together! It has a little bit of a modern touch with the velvet accent chairs from Target, a mid-century modern look with the bench from CB2, a costal look with the rattan dresser from West Elm, and an industrial flair with the wood and metal canopy bed and nightstands from Pottery Barn.
I love the neutral feel of the space but that we still incorporated some pops of color!
Design 2: Neutral Tones
For the second design board, I went with a very neutral, tone on tone color palette. This is a very serene look that is often desired in a master bedroom suite! This type of color palette also makes it easy to coordinate the master bathroom for a spa like feel.
This canopy bed has a little bit of a luxurious feel with the tall velvet upholstered headboard.
One of my other favorite design tips for a bedroom is to “frame” the dresser and TV with gallery frames or other art to make the wall feel complete. I did this in my own bedroom and it changed the whole look of my dresser wall from empty to finished! Check out a little peak at how these frames and picture light above look with my bedroom corner chair here.
Design 3: Traditional with Boho Vibes
This design mixes some traditional looking furniture with some boho decor items. The canopy bed and dresser have classic lines, while the rug, art prints, and long lumbar pillow add a whimsical element to the room.
I offer 4 e-design and 3 in-person design packages ranging in price from $75 to $375! All packages include full accessibility and communication with me as well as unlimited revisions!
Which design would you pick!? Let me know in a comment below!
