Hi there, friends! Happy Wednesday! Today, I’m sharing three coastal chic design boards – a kitchen/breakfast area, entryway, and playroom! I would consider these part of my 2D Full Room Mood Board design package and you can read more about what that package includes here!
These coastal chic designs actually go with some other designs I also did for the same client! You can check out my dining room design here and home office design for this home here. This house is seriously going to look amazing!

Neutral Kitchen & Breakfast Area
For the kitchen area, I started with modern kitchen island pendants and barstools that my client already had! We wanted to play off the colors in the barstools and keep it all very light, bright, and neutral. Personally, I thought a white table and dining chairs might be a little boring so we selected a light gray color fo the chairs.
For coastal chic design, one of my favorite things to do is add in natural elements! I chose jute rugs for both under the kitchen table and kitchen runner. Something I think will have a huge impact is the natural woven light above the table!
One of my favorite coastal chic kitchens belongs to Sarah at Life on Virginia Street. You will see a lot of this mood board is inspired by her kitchen!
Much of the furniture in all three designs is from Serena & Lily – a favorite of mine for that coastal chic look! As always, you can shop the products in my designs below under “Shop the Look”!
Coastal Entryway
This house has a HUGE entryway. It’s both long and wide, which is great, but can also make decorating a challenge! Because it’s so big, there is enough space to really do two “separate” areas within the entryway. An area for a console table and an area for a bench.
For the console table, I added a gallery wall of white frames with gold sconces above. I love displaying family photos around the house and a gallery wall is a very tasteful way to do that! In fact, you can read a post I wrote about displaying photos here!
For the bench area, I added a large mirror that the client loved above, some coastal pillows, and a large plant next to the bench. The plant helps to both add vertical height to the walls and fill up more space width-wise as well.
In this design, I also include wallpaper for an accent wall. This wallpaper is actually for the powder room, but the powder room is right off the entryway, so I wanted to be sure it worked with the decor in the entry as well!
Blue and White Sophisticated Playroom
For the playroom, I chose a comfortable gray sectional and added in neutral elements through the rug and olive tree. I also wanted to do a fun accent wall with wallpaper behind the sectional! I love having a little table and chairs in the playroom for coloring or learning activities. And of course, storage is always super important in the playroom! Serena and Lily makes some of the cutest large baskets, perfect for toys and stuffed animals!
I offer 4 e-design and 3 in-person design packages ranging in price from $50 to $275! All packages include full accessibility and communication with me as well as unlimited revisions!
