Happy Thursday! A few weeks ago we got our house and porches powerwashed (pollen, be gone!), so I was finally able to get our front porch all ready for spring and summer! Hooray! Here in the south, it gets HOT quick, so there is only a limited time where we get full use out of our front porch (it gets direct morning sun and heats up SO fast).
Coincidentally, I also recently worked on a design for an exterior makeover and front porch refresh! I put together three options for the front porch decor that I wanted to share today. For the exterior makeover, my clients wanted a farmhouse style, so I suggested a warm white paint for the siding and brick, gray for the shutters, and blue for the front door for a modern but soft feel.

Front Porch Bench
In sticking with the farmhouse style, I put together an option featuring a metal and wood bench. This classic garden bench is another pretty option! I wanted to keep the color palette neutral. I added warm accents and texture with a faux tree and seagrass side table.
Front Porch Swing
This option features a classic black swing. I wanted to play up the black and white decor but still add a little bit of interest with light blue/green pillows to pick up on the blue front door. A faux topiary adds greenery while sticking with the classic feel.
This option really appeals to me because I have a porch swing and it is my favorite thing! Ours is very deep so it perfect for laying down and reading a book or even an afternoon nap, lol. I can’t think of anything more classic for a southern front porch than a porch swing, and I had to have one! [I also really love changing out the pillows seasonally!]
Front Porch Chair Set
The last option I put together features a more modern chair set. I kept the color palette here neutral with a jute rug and added modern lanterns.
Our front porch is very long [almost 31 feet], so we also have space for a set of rocking chairs! Truth be told, we sit in these more than on our porch swing, but I love having the option of either! My chairs are currently sold out, but I love this similar option too!
Summer Front Porch Refresh
BONUS! Here is another design I happened to put together with front porch decor. I am really feeling blues this season, so I wanted to incorporate that into this design. I posted this on LikeToKnow.it a few weeks ago, and the chambray blue pillow has been one of my best sellers since [they are currently sold out, but definitely sign up for restock notifications!]. The chairs are also 10% off until Saturday, 5/15, making them under $300 for the pair!
So, which of these front porch decor ideas would you go with?!
