Hi friends! I’ve been working on a lot of designs lately, but I haven’t been great about sharing them here! Today, I’m sharing 4 coastal farmhouse powder room designs I recently put together for a repeat client (my favorite!). I love to give options when I put together designs because after all, it is your house! This lets me curate designs that are beautiful and timeless and flow together but lets you be more a part of the process too!
These 4 options are variations on the same idea with the same color palette based on other colors in the house. All have a wood vanity as well! The way I differentiated these designs was through different features like shiplap, paint, and wallpaper!

Horizontal Shiplap Accent Wall
The first option I put together featured a horizontal shiplap accent wall behind the vanity/toilet in Sherwin Williams Pure White. Some have said shiplap and accent walls are out for 2022 but I am a big proponent of you do you! I still love shiplap, especially in certain design styles! I have shiplap in my house (and am considering adding more!) which helps it maintain a coastal style. My powder room layout is just like this – which you can see here!
Dark Shiplap Accent Wall
As also seen in the first design, I mixed metals in these designs. I love mixing metals in bathrooms – as long as you limit it to two metals! Black and gold are a great combination! This design is a little bit of a more modern feel with the dramatic accent wall.
Vertical Shiplap
This design leans a little bit more coastal with the full room all white shiplap, so I followed that style with my art choices for the room.
Wallpaper Option
I also LOVE wallpaper in a powder room. It’s a great space to make a statement and it doesn’t get too overwhelming because it’s typically a small room. Last year I added this peel and stick wallpaper to my water closet in my master bathroom and it was the best decision!
