Happy Friday! This month (how is it April?!), I’m going to try to get caught up with posting design boards! I’ve completed so many designs lately but haven’t gotten around to posting them! Today, I’m starting with several glam french country bedroom design options! (PS. Head over to Instagram here if you want to see one more!)
Also be on the lookout for a “glam meets rustic” living room and dining room design post for this same house!

Option 1: Half Accent Wall
The room was already painted in BM Stonington Gray, which is a great color, so I kept the wall color in the first three designs. I wanted to add a feature to the bed wall in this design, so I added a 2/3 board and batten in BM Chantilly Lace. Here are two ideas how to accomplish this look from Home on Mount Forest and The Heart and Haven.
I incorporated some french country style through the cane bed frame from Pottery Barn, rug, and artwork. I love the color on these nightstands! We added a glam feel with the semi-flush mount light fixture and blush accent items.
Option 2: Pink Bench
I added a little bit more glam in this design with a full crystal flush mount light and mirrors behind the nighstands. Because I added the mirrors over the nightstands, I didn’t add any artwork above the bed so as not to overclutter the wall. I like to keep one focal main focal point on individual walls!
I also really played up the blush and gray color palette in this design with the vintage distressed rug, bedding/pillow combination, and pink bench.
Option 3: Patterned Bedding
While I love a good white or cream duvet/comforter, because it is a great base for accent pillows and artwork, many people often prefer patterned bedding! I personally have a subtle stripe duvet on my master bed (shop my home here). The one in this design even has a pattern on the reverse side too! This design probably leans heavier to both sides of french country and glam with the beige/chalk colored dresser and nightstand and clear crystal light fixture. I also added a few touches of blue to this design with artwork.
Option 4: Dark Accent Wall
For this design, I suggesting changing the wall paint color one shade darker than BM Stonington Gray – BM Coventry Gray. AND I added a fun accent wall behind the bed with a diamond pattern. I love the feel of this furniture and shape of the bed combined with the tall antique mirrors behind the nightstands. For a blush colored, subtle-patterned bedding, this quilt is beautiful!
As you can see if you click on some of the links above, some of my favorite stores for this french country meets glam look are: Pottery Barn, Ballard Designs, and Wayfair. One of the questions I ask when starting a design is where you like to shop because this helps me get a sense of your style!
I offer 4 e-design and 3 in-person design packages ranging in price from $75 to $375! All packages include full accessibility and communication with me as well as unlimited revisions!
