Happy Friday friends! Two blog posts this week!? Who am I! I wanted to make sure to get this post out with two Thanksgiving table setting ideas before everyone is overwhelmed with Christmas decor [which seems like it’s already happening?!].
I may or may not already be working on my Christmas table setting – be on the lookout for that soon!

Thanksgiving Table Inspiration
First, let’s start out with some major inspo courtesy of Kasey at SBKliving. I’ve shared Kasey’s home before [check out her fall and Christmas console table here and master bedroom here!] and I absolutely love her modern farmhouse style! I recently saw her Thanksgiving tablescape on Instagram and fell in love. I was able to create a similar table setting using all items I already had! And I’m also planning on resuing a lot of the same items for my Christmas table! Win!
Option 1: Gold Accents
First, let’s start with the centerpiece! I used a kraft paper roll which I already had and handwrote “thankful” on it using a ChalkInk pen. If you don’t know I have a small Etsy shop with handwritten decor, so I do have some practice with this! You could write a variety of things on here or even different things or names at each place setting! On top of the kraft paper, I put a faux eucalyptus garland which I used in my Easter tablescape a few years ago, some white pumpkins [great fall decor staple!], and gold candlesticks I recently got from Target [these are going to be incorporated into my Christmas table too]!
For the actual place setting, I used a galvanized charger that I’ve had for a few years as the base [still available at Target], a simple white round dinner plate, a “Home” fall salad plate, a pumpkin embroidered napkin, and another white pumpkin on top. The plates and napkin are both from Pier 1. Pier 1 was also my go-to for reasonable priced dinnerware! Now they have an interesting assortment of dining and entertainment items, but nothing compared to what they used to have, womp. Target is probably has the most similar options! For drinkware, I added a mason jar to add a farmhouse touch and a gold rimmed wine glass. I also went with gold flatware that I recently got from Amazon!
Option 2: Black Accents
For this look, I just switched up a few things to give a little bit of a different feel! Gold always feels slightly more modern to me and black a little more farmhouse. I switched out the gold candle holders for thin black candle holders from Amazon that I’ve had for a while! I’ve previously used these on my living room mantle. I also added a black dinner plate [again from Pier 1, but the Hearth and Hand line at Target has a similar version] and a black windowpane napkin. I also switched the silverware to our typical everyday silverware. I would have loved to try this look with matte black flatware but I don’t have any and didn’t want to buy some just for this! This set has great reviews and would be my pick!
Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? I’d love to see your tablescapes!
