Hi friends! I’m back with another round of Furnishing Friday today! It’s been a while! If you’re new, I used to share a new design every Friday – you can check out some of my past Furnishing Friday posts here.
Today I’m sharing 3 rustic farmhouse guest bedroom designs. You can scroll down and see my 3 designs with the products I used linked! But first, I wanted to share some inspiration pictures!
I love how all three of these rustic farmhouse bedrooms still have modern elements and feel bright but cozy at the same time. They all incorporate wood tones but don’t overdo it on the wood!

Option 1 – Charcoal Bedding
One of the big perks of my design service is I can work with some of your existing furniture and room elements! For this room, we planned to keep the super cool reclaimed wood dresser, which was really the starting point for the whole design! The room also has wood barn doors leading to a bunk room (more bunk room designs to come – keep a look out for that!) and is painted SW Accessible Beige.
We wanted to incorporate a wood bed that went with the wood tones in the dresser. For this option, I chose a buffalo check comforter from Pottery Barn – you can’t go wrong with buffalo check for a rustic farmhouse bedroom! The other decor elements came together from the bedding!
Option 2 – Blue/Navy Accents
This is a guest bedroom at a stunning lake house, so I wanted to make sure to reflect some of that in my design. I found this awesome “lake” sign on Etsy and thought it would be so fun in this room or even the downstairs living room! With the sign, I incorporated more blue tones. This is the same bedding as design one but a different color! I also added a rug to give additional warmth to the space and break up the carpet. I added a full length mirror, which I think is a great touch for guests!
Option 3 – Striped Bedding
Option 3 involved a little switching around bedding from the bunk room next door! Another way I wanted to add warmth in this design is by adding curtains. You’ll also notice every design have some kind of tree and plant option. Greenery is always a great way to warm up a space – I also do faux because I have a huge black thumb (black, not even brown, seriously).
What do you think? Which look is your favorite?! I posted one more rustic guest bedroom idea on my LikeToKnow.it last week. If you’re not following me, you can check it out here!
