Happy Easter! This year I am hosting my first Easter (although to be honest, my mom is bringing most of the food lol). We are having 11 people plus little Allison! We don’t have a table big enough to fit 11 people in our house (our dining room table doesn’t have leaves) so we are doing two tables – one in our dining room and one out on our screened in porch!
So, I wanted to share my Easter Tablescape with all of you. BUT, I’m only sharing one table, because only one is set! I have to finish setting up the outdoor table this morning – talk about last minute (I was scared of the pollen getting on everything if I set it up early).
I LOVE looking at pictures of tablescapes. I almost never have one on my table though, because I haven’t hosted many holidays yet, and it’s just the last thing I think about when it comes to decorating my home.
My tablescape for this Easter is pretty simple. Probably because we didn’t decide who’s house we were having Easter at until last weekend and I really didn’t even think about any of it until Monday. My second table is slightly different than this one but same overall theme – same centerpiece and similar colors.
Here are the details on how I created this look!
Tablecloth // Picked this up at HomeGoods this week! It’s Kate Spade. Here are some similar napkins that would look great with a solid tablecloth or in napkin rings on top of the plates!
Chargers // This is my first time using these galvanized chargers and I love them! They are Hearth and Hand with Magnolia. Probably going to use them for all of my holidays…maybe I need to invest in a few more (don’t tell my husband!)
Plates // So we have square plates for our everyday use and I don’t have fine china because I would never use it. BUT, with the round chargers, I decided I really need a set of round plates. I picked these up at Pier 1 and they are great basic white plates!
Salad Plates // I wanted to pick up on the blush tones in the table cloth with my salad plates, but I also didn’t want to buy plates I would never use again. Cue plastic plates! I got these ones and the detail on the rim is really cute. These would also be great for a bridal shower!
Silverware // With my silverware I also wanted to pick up on the gold in the chargers and also I just love gold, but I don’t have gold silverware just for these occasions. So, I decided to get plastic silverware. I think these ones get the job done!
Cups // I decided to use my everyday cups!
Centerpiece // I had a vision of what I wanted to do for my centerpieces but I didn’t want it to cost a fortune. I got some garland and some individual roses from Amazon and then used plastic eggs and candlesticks that I already had. It’s not quite as lush as I wanted but it works! I personally like low and long centerpieces so you can see the person across from you! I just laid two garlands out snaking it across the center of the table (I used two to give thickness) and then inserted the roses and eggs in either bare spots where the two garlands separated or where I wanted to break up the greenery.
