Say that title 5 times fast!
Lately, I’ve been lamenting the fact that it takes SO long to get your house the way you want it. I feel like none of the rooms in my house are “finished.” They all just need a few touches to get them to look how I want them to. In most of my rooms, some of those “touches” are faux plants.
I have the brownest thumb ever – just killed a live fiddle the other day – so faux plants are perfect for me! We have tall and big walls that lead to a decent bit of empty space between our furniture. Floor plants will help to take up that space and also add a cozy element to our rooms!
Currently, I’m coveting floor plants for our dining room, master bedroom, nursery, and guest bedroom. These are the best ones I’ve found so far!

Faux plants, especially tall ones, can be SO expensive. And they usually come in a teeny tiny stupid pot, so then you have to buy something to put it in too. Below I’m sharing what makes each of these plants so great in my eyes!
- Wayfair Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree // This is currently on sale for $51 which is a great price for a fiddle! Keep in mind it is only 36″ tall. It says it comes in a decorative black pot so that could work depending on your decor, but I would consider putting it into a basket! I’m sharing a few of my favorite planters and baskets below!
- Pottery Barn Faux Potted Fiddle Leaf // Another shorter option at 21″ tall, so this would look good on a stool or stand. I would probably put this into another basket or planter as well!
- Pottery Barn Faux Potted Dracaena // Ok, so fiddles are dominated the faux plant world right now but I love this type of plant, especially since we live close to the beach! This reminds me of tropical landscaping. I love how full it is!
- World Market Faux Fiddle Leaf Fig // This fiddle is a little bit pricey, but it gets great reviews! I love that it is a little bit wider throughout the whole plant (not just at the top).
- TJ Maxx Yucca in Lattice Basket // I recently discovered faux plants at TJ Maxx and so, of course, I have about 4 of them in my cart. This plant is 54″ tall and already in a cute basket! Win!
- TJ Maxx Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree in Dotted Planter // Since we have high ceilings in our house, I’m always on the hunt for a really tall plant. Even ones that are “tall” look short in our house. This one is 60″ which is one of the taller ones I’ve seen!
- TJ Maxx Grass in Pot // I really like grass plants, and I think they look great on outdoor porches too! I have a smaller faux grass on our back porch.
- TJ Maxx Faux Fiddle in Patterned Basket // This basket is so cute! This one is a little bit shorter at 38″, but it’s a great deal at $50 and you don’t need a basket or planter.
- TJ Maxx Onion Grass in Cement Pot // This one combines a bunch of my favorites – tall at 60″, a grass, and a cute pot! The pot is a little bit mid-century, which doesn’t necessarily go with my own decor in my house, but I love the color of the pot and legs!
- TJ Maxx Fiddle Leaf Fig in Cement Pot with Stand // Ok guys – this one might just be my favorite! I LOVE the cement pot and stand. There’s something about elevating plants in a stand that really catches my eye. This one is an average height at 48″ so it’s a perfect middle of the road plant that could be used in so many spots!
Since a few of these do need to be put into baskets or planters, I thought I would link some of my favorites! Shop these by clicking on the image!
