This past weekend I asked my Instagram followers for mood board requests (follow me here if you don’t already!). One of the requests I got was for a gender neutral nursery design with a sage green color palette. I love doing nursery designs so I put together two options and wanted to share them today!
I have a special place in my heart for gender neutral nursery designs as I didn’t find out gender for two of my kids (one of which is on the way – see my mood board for that room here!). At the bottom of this post, you can also find a roundup of some of my past gender neutral nursery design boards!

New Sage Green Designs
For the first mood board I put together, I did a feature wall behind the crib of board and batten in SW Acacia Haze. I used this color in a powder room makeover last year and it turned out great! You can see that makeover here.
I used light fabrics and wood tones for the rest of the furniture to balance out the accent wall. I love the natural feel and textures in this room!
For this design, I chose a slightly more feminine sage green wallpaper for an accent wall behind the crib. I repeated these green tones in the area rug. I balanced out the wallpaper pattern with black accents in the crib, mirror, and light fixture.

This nursery was one of three that I designed for a client who didn’t find out the gender (they had a girl!) but wanted an animal theme! Read more about this design and see the others I put together here.
This nursery option I put together for a friend who was having a girl but wanted a very neutral look. Get all the details here!
