Hi friends, happy Saturday! Today, I’m sharing a few design options for a modern coastal entryway and living room! You’ll see three entryway options and two living room options below. I love the neutral tones with pops of blue throughout these designs. Let me know which ones are your favorites!

Modern Coastal Entryway
I put together three mini design options for the entryway. Option 1 features one of my favorite tall olive trees (see it in my bedroom here) and a Serena & Lily bench (FYI – this bench is currently $200 off!). I used neutral and blush tone pillows to add softness to the bench.
Option 2 features a cane front sideboard with large coastal artwork above. You can check out some of my other large coastal artwork picks here!
Option 3 features a round pedestal table with modern textured art on the wall behind. I used mostly decor from Target to style the top of the table – this woven vase is one of my favorites! See it in my dining room here.
Living Room Option 1
For the living room, I kept beautiful Arhaus sectional and Serena & Lily coffee table my client already had. This living room was oversized and two stories, making it feel even larger. For Option 1, I wanted to use trim details to accentuate the height of the walls, but also give focal points that would eliminate the needs for so much wall decor.
On the largest open wall, I suggested board and batten. Above the fireplace, I suggested a trim detail to take the fireplace all the way to the ceiling. This is a great way to enhance the overall design and visual of a fireplace. I almost always recommend that the fireplace detail extend to the ceiling!
I also wanted to add a larger rug to fill the large room. You want at least all the front legs of the furniture to be on the rug! I added height to the decor with a tall tree and floor lamp.
Living Room Option 2
For option 2, in addition to the sectional and coffee table, I also utilized the rug that my client already had. Option 1 required switching the layout they were currently using and moving the TV over the mantle, so for option 2, I kept the current layout in place.
In order to fill the large wall that I put board and batten on in Option 1, I picked a large TV cabinet to ground the TV and then added gallery frames with picture lights above on either side of the TV. This helps to extend the width of the “entertainment center”. I also added an oversized chair with side table and lamp in the corner to create a sitting area.
Above the fireplace, I layered a mirror, artwork, and decor to fill the mantle out. The greenery and artwork help to bring the modern coastal style to this side of the room.
I offer 4 e-design and 3 in-person design packages ranging in price from $75 to $375! All packages include full accessibility and communication with me as well as unlimited revisions!
