Remember in my “Why We Moved to Charleston” post (read it here!) I said that most of our family followed us down here? Well, today I’m giving a house tour of my parents Charleston townhouse! We moved to Charleston at the end of June and my parents closed on their house just a few weeks later. They split their time between here and Pittsburgh (my hometown!).
My parent townhouse is great because the homeowners association takes care of all the maintenance, it’s only a few years old, and it’s super light and bright (which is perfect for taking pictures!). Most of my mom’s decorating sources are linked below (she’ll say it’s still a work in process, but I think it looks great so far!).

LIVING ROOM //
Two things – These patterned chairs are the bomb. They rock and swivel (perfect for holding the baby in!). I almost exclusively sit in these when I visit. Secondly, there was a huge debate in our family about whether the pictures on the wall should be staggered or centered. My dad won that debate and they hung them staggered which fills the wall space nicely! One thing we have noticed about new homes in the Charleston area – the ceiling height is really tall! I think we all love the high ceilings for the open/airy feeling but it does make it challenging to decorate because the walls are just so huge.

ENTRYWAY //
I love how there are different styles mixed in this space. The table has kind of a Moroccan-look and it totally works!

DINING ROOM //
This dining room table is HUGE. It was perfect for Christmas with both Alex and my families. There is a little breakfast nook on the other side of the kitchen, so it doesn’t have to be an everyday table, but I love it for special occasions! Also, is this not the coolest buffet ever?! I’m kind of obsessed with it. It’s probably not something I would have ever picked myself but I love it! I think the unique pieces are truly the ones that stand out and make a space and taking risks usually pay off!

MASTER BEDROOM // This room is basically an ad for Pottery Barn, which in my opinion, is the way to do it! I spend so much time looking for individual pieces for a room – you can really get lost online shopping at all these home decor stores (I secretly love it but I really waste SO much time). Sometimes, it’s nice to just walk into a store and pick everything out at once!
LOFT // Grey + Blue is my favorite combination of colors, so naturally I love this look! I also have the “Family” pillow in my living room.

GUEST BEDROOMS // The two guest bedroom have completely different looks but they both have that coastal feel! We live about 20 minutes from the beach, so I love incorporating a coastal style here.
