To be honest, spring decor is pretty tricky for me. I like to make a few changes to my decor and do some spring cleaning, but I just don’t have as many spring items as fall or Christmas. I also like to add just a few touches for the holidays through Spring. Generally, when I put away from Valentine’s Day things, I also change out anything remaining from winter. This is definitely A LOT easier in Charleston than it was in New Jersey because the weather changes earlier (and having a few 70+ degree days in January/February REALLY make you think spring is coming!). So, in getting spring decor ready, I’ve also added a few items for St. Patrick’s Day and have some Easter things ready to go (as soon as St. Patrick’s Day is over!).
My “spring” decor usually ends up lasting through most of the summer as well because I think it works – bright/fun colors, fresh flowers, etc. Now that I am in a new house, I might try to make more of a distinction between spring and summer, but we’ll see – more to come on that!
Below are some decor items I’ve found that are so cute for spring! I don’t have all of these items (but wish I did – if only my husband would let me!)
GINGHAM NAPKINS // POTTERY BARN
I love a good tablescape! Although I almost never have one on my own table, these napkins would be perfect for a spring place setting. I also love them for Easter dinner! They are light and bright and would look perfect on any table, but particularly a rustic one!
Peonies scream spring to me. The color in this bundle is perfect and can also easily transition to summer. These would look great incorporated into a dining table centerpiece or in a kitchen for some color.
WOODEN BUNNIES // CRATE AND BARREL
I love how these wooden bunnies mix rustic and modern. These would look great on a bookshelf, or again incorporated into a dining room centerpiece. The smaller ones could also be added to a coffee or end table centerpiece!
DARK LAVENDER SPRAY/ // HOBBY LOBBY
I think lavender sprays are great faux florals to transition from winter to spring. They are colorful, but a little bit darker than a pink (like the peonies above), so they are a good transition piece. I added these to white hydrangeas on my dining room table and love the pop of color they provide!
I have a wreath obsession (although I don’t actually own that many yet!). For some reason, the idea of having some decor on the door to anchor it really appeals to me. I am almost always swapping out wreaths or other holiday decor on my front door. I absolutely love the style and color of this wreath! The robin’s egg blue is perfect and could go with most house styles/colors!
FAUX FORSYTHIA BRANCH // PIER 1
In our last house, we put in forsythia bushes in our back yard, lining our fence. I remember each spring how pretty they were when they bloomed. These faux branches remind me of that yard and how colorful it was in the spring! I think these will also transition to summer really well!
I think this would be so fun to add either on an island or corner of a kitchen, especially if you have little kids! The colors are quintessential spring and the bunny adds another youthful touch. I also like the idea of having one piece of decor that actually says spring on it (although I wouldn’t go overboard on this since it really limits how long you can display it).
SPRING PILLOW COVERS // AMAZON
These pillow covers are GORGEOUS! My husband will say that I definitely have a pillow obsession (doesn’t every girl?). I love the colors in them and the script font. These would look great on an indoor bench or even outdoor rocking chairs or a porch swing. We have a huge pollen problem in Charleston in spring so I personally wouldn’t put them on my porch in case they got ruined! However, in general, pillows are really easy to switch out to add seasonal decor.
I love how modern these are and that they are grey. Grey is probably my favorite decor color right now and these can easily go with your other “non-seasonal” decor. They would look great on a mantle or bookcase. I also love that you can add candles to light them up.
